Emphysema and chronic bronchitis affect more than 16 million people in the United States. Additional millions suffer from asthma, lung cancer and other forms of chronic lung disease. Through education, physical conditioning, and emotional support, these individuals are able to optimize their quality of life.
Montgomery Hospital offers programs on an inpatient and outpatient basis to help pulmonary disease sufferers breath easier. If admitted to the hospital for a breathing disorder, a registered respiratory therapist will visit your room and discuss your diagnosis, symptoms, and treatment plan. When discharged, you can participate in our outpatient exercise condition and education programs.
Many insurance companies, including Medicare, offer reimbursement for outpatient Pulmonary Therapy. Contact your provider for further information. Enrollment in Montgomery Hospital's Pulmonary Rehabilitation Program is by physician referral. For additional information or to schedule an appointment call 610-270-2106. |
