Catheterization Specialists Are Leaders in Cardiac Health
The hospital has recruited a specialized cardiac catheterization team to care for patients. Dr. Steve Vaganos is the medical director. Carole Noll is the new clinical director of the cardiac catheterization lab. She comes to Montgomery with a master's degree in Health Services Administration and more than 16 years experience as a cardiac catheterization lab technologist, radiographer and manager.
Other team members include cardiac catheterization nurse specialists and a data entry professional, who monitors patients during procedures and records the clinical processes involved in the procedures.
Carole characterizes her team as "experienced, sharp and poised to act in the patient's best interest both during routine procedures and in emergency situations." She adds, "the team members also love what they do. There's an instant gratification that comes with being able to assist in the diagnosis of a disease and to being involved in a medical procedure that will often return the heart to a normal or almost normal state, that is life-saving, [usually] within 90 minutes," she says.
