| VISITING POLICY (November 2009)
To limit the spread of influenza infection, Montgomery Hospital has temporarily adopted the following visitor policies:
Please do not visit the hospital if you are sick. If you have fever, cough, sore throat, fatigue, nausea, vomiting or diarrhea, please postpone your visit.
Hospital visitors must be over age 14. Exceptions will be made for healthy siblings visiting the maternity department. Special permission may also be granted by the treating nurse or healthcare provider for end-of-life and other humanitarian situations.
No more than two visitors at a time per patient. This applies to inpatient rooms and when accompanying patients to the emergency department.
Patients: Ask for a mask if you have flu-like symptoms.
Keep your hands clean! Wash your hands frequently with soap and water or use our hand sanitizer stations available throughout the hospital.
Cover coughs or sneezes with a tissue or your upper sleeve.
All visitors are directed to stop at the Information Desk in the main lobby of the hospital to obtain a visitor pass. Please keep your pass with you at all times. Visitors are encouraged to stop at the nurses’ station when visiting patients with special precautions to receive instructions.
Your cooperation is deeply appreciated.
